FOOD FOR THOUGHT ABOUT THE EARTH

FLAT EARTH OR SPHERICAL EARTH? There is a debate going on that few seem to know about...

Before you say (or think) who in the 21st century thinks the earth is flat, let me tell you that many people do, including respected scientists (not that these people don't make mistakes!) and there is a lot of information out there supporting the flat earth 'theory'.

The subject intrigued me when I first heard it because I thought of course the earth cannot be flat and being in the travel industry I 'know' you fly from Tokyo to Los Angeles in more or less a straight line. Well do we now?  How do we know that?  Because we are told that and... we trusted.  We are in an age when so much we have considered to be true turns out to be..well...not true...at all!  And sometimes we get tricked with two opposing views as a divide and conquer tactic....like we being told, people believed the earth was flat until sailors proved that they sailed around the world.  Maybe they did sail around the world but not around a spinning globe in my opinion. You know I can sail from Accra in a circular route and arrive back in Accra.  I do not need to sail around a supposed globe to do that.

I encourage us all to always look at a subject that interests us, be it a famous person or a news topic or an event from different angles (sources) and form our own opinions using our own brains.  We do have brains that we normally use very little of and with the advent of television we use even less and now we have all the so called smart gadgets..we are so indoctrinated with our impression of people and of countries and of what is right and what is wrong and we have been marching right where the zombies are meant to march. Yet if we step back and think for ourselves, we will become some of the few people out of the zombied masses who can quickly assess a situation and err on the truth.  Food for us to think about, but I digressed so lets go back to the earth being...FLAT!!!

The map of the world is so fascinating for the simple reason that it has so much variety in every part of it and many of us will love to visit different parts of it. For those of us who plan travel itineraries for clients we do want to know how the map of the world looks like.  For real.
The way it really is and not the way we have been indoctrinated via television and so called photo proof (more like photoshop).  And why o why would we be indoctrinated that the earth is a sphere spinning at a crazy speed if it is a mass of continents and islands tranquilly positioned in a kind of circular way and surrounded by the oceans of water where the north south and east west do not meet?  And the four sides of the waters with the land mass in the middle are all cucooned  in a high dome (firmament) that information out there claim no spacecraft can penetrate........

The way it is panning out is that the map of the continents are positioned similarly as they are in the logo of the united nations.  And everywhere else is water.  The moon and sun spin on their own axis over the land masses (over us) to create the seasons and the cycles of light and darkness. For geography lovers and those who are interested there is a lot of information (on youtube for one) out there for the earth being flat.  Here are some points to look into:

- A baby was born on board an airline flying from the Far East to Los Angeles. They had to do an emergency stop in Alaska which will be ludicrous on a globe world map but supports the map of the world if it was like the UN logo because on the UN logo map Alaska comes before Los Angeles from the Far East.

- The route from South Africa to Australia is not across the ocean as we see it on a globe. This again makes sense if we follow the map of the flat earth (logo of the UN) because on such a map, a straight line between Johannesburg and Sydney will pass through Asia (and not through the ocean) and this explains why the flight flies over asia.

- If the earth is spinning (moving very, very fast) why is there no wind every day.  Even when we are in a slow moving car and you put your hand out of the window you will feel the wind.

- There is an intriguing photo believed to be taken by a George Rayner around 1920 that looks like it could be one starting point of a dome (firmament) in Antartica and it looks like a wall made of drops of water or ice......

I will not be holding a globe anymore to show clients the route they will be flying.  A page on an atlas will do to give one a good idea.   So here then is a business idea for entrepreneurs out there to produce models of a flat earth.  I will certainly love to get one.  I feel serene with the likely possibility that our continents and islands are cucconed under a dome (firmament dividing the waters above from the waters below) and I love the idea that we are not supposedly spinning at some crazy speed on an axis in addition! to supposedly spinning around the sun and just hanging in there thanks to the so called law of gravity.  I already feel dizzy thinking of all the simultaneous spinning that is supposedly going on and I am sorry I never followed my hunch to check the outlandish theory of the spinning earth but grateful brave thinkers did.  I will take my serene, stable earth any day.  Will you also be brave and
make your own research for or against?

And the name of this company 'Global Village?' Let us take it for now to mean the interconnectedness of the world which is one meaning of global village....
